Ft. Negley Visitor Center

Ft. Negley Visitor Center

The largest inland stone fortification built during the Civil War, it was the centerpiece of the Union forces occupying Nashville.  The fort is a star-shaped, limestone block structure atop St. Cloud Hill just south of downtown.

Construction included a new visitor center made of native Tennessee stone façade, and stabilization of the original limestone block structure.
